I took my DSLR with me to work to finally try it out an I absolutely love the results!! None of these images were edited. They were all taken on manual setting with the aperture set to 1.8, ISO set to 100 and the shutter speed was set on various speeds. These pictures were taken with the 50mm f/1.8 lens, which is a fantastic lens to own! It gives amazing bokeh (the amount of blurriness you get in the background or foreground) and the images are really clear and sharp (well, except for #6... I forgot that it was on manual focus.) I am definitely one happy camper with my purchase. My cammy and I are going to be the best of friends!

  2. I think it was a decent price. I got it for almost under five man. I didn't want to buy a jacked-up used one nor did I want to go down a model to the x4. I definitely don't plan on buying another camera for the next five or ten years. This baby will be with me for as long as it can.

  3. These are beautiful photos! Thats a great lens too! I have the 50 1.4, there really just isn't anything that compares to a close lens like that. :)

  4. Thanks Renee B! I'm still just learning to get used to using a DSLR, but I absolutely love this camera. Yeah, the prime lens are really something else!

  5. WOW WOW WOW! You're really making me want to get an SLR! Which exact EOS model is it?

  6. haha, really? This camera is for beginners, so I can definitely recommend it to other first time DSLR users! The European equivalent of this Japanese version that I have is the 600D. The Canadian/American version is the REBEL T3i.

Also, the camera is pretty light to me, especially with my smaller lens on it.
